CORONACHECK-APP

Visit the theatre with a Corona admission ticket

Currently, all visitors ages 13 and up  will need a Corona admission ticket (Coronatoegangsbewijs) for any activity or performance. Upon entry, we will ask you to show your Corona admission ticket (QR-code) via the CoronaCheck-app, or with a printed version, via CoronaCheck.nl.

What is a Corona admission ticket?
To visit a performance with a Corona admission ticket, we ask you for a negative test result, proof of vaccination, or proof of recovery of coronavirus. Using CoronaCheck, you can show these ways of proof. You can use 1 of the following 3 ways to acquire a Corona admission ticket:

Proof of vaccination:
Full vaccination. With a European approved vaccine. Starting Saturday 10 July 2021, the Netherlands accepts a vaccination as legit, 14 days after your full vaccination. Usually CoronaCheck is able to automatically recover your proof of vaccination from the RIVM or GGD systems.

Proof of recovery:
Proof that you have fully recovered from the coronavirus in the past 6 months. Do you have a positive PCR-corona test at a GGD location, that is no older than 180 days? And not as recent as 12 days? Then the GGD will issue a digital proof of recovery.

Negative test result:
A negative test result that is no older than 24 hours, before the start of the activity or performance.

Which 4 steps will I need to take before I visit using a Corona admission ticket?
Do you want to attend an event or activity in the Netherlands which requires a Corona admission ticket? Take the following 4 steps.

Step 1: Download the CoronaCheck-app or go to CoronaCheck.nl
Downloading the CoronaCheck-app
CoronaCheck works on iOS and Android-phones from Android 6 and iOS 12 (iPhone 5s and newer). The app is free to download from the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.

Printing a paper version of the Corona admission ticket from CoronaCheck.nl
Do you not have a smartphone? Or do you just prefer to have a paper version of your Corona admission ticket? Or are you attending an event with people without an app? Then you can print out a Corona admission ticket for yourself or your children, on the website CoronaCheck.nl.

Step 2: Upload your corona proof
Upload 1 of the following 3 ways of proof in the CoronaCheck-app or on CoronaCheck.nl:

  • Proof of vaccination
  • Proof of recovery
  • Negative test result

A.    I have a proof of vaccination that I want to upload
1.    Go to the CoronaCheck-app or the website CoronaCheck.nl.
2.    Log in using your DigiD. Check if your DigiD is working. Requesting a new DigiD takes several days.
3.    Your vaccination information will automatically be retrieved from the RIVM (if you have granted permission for this) and the GGD. The information will then automatically be uploaded to the CoronaCheck-app or the CoronaCheck.nl website.

B.    I have proof of recovery that I want to upload
1.    Go to the CoronaCheck-app or the website CoronaCheck.nl.
2.    Log in using your DigiD. Check if your DigiD is working. Requesting a new DigiD takes several days.
3.    The information regarding your proof of recovery will be retrieved from the GGD. The information will then automatically be uploaded to the CoronaCheck-app or the CoronaCheck.nl website.

C.    I have a negative test result that I want to upload
1.    Make an appointment for a corona test at 1 of the test locations  via Testenvoortoegang.nl. Make sure that you are tested a maximum of 24 hours before your visit. Children under the age of 13 are not required to be tested.
2.    Get tested for the coronavirus. You will receive the result within 1 hour. Did your test result come back negative? Fill the retrieval code found on the test result in on the CoronaCheck-app or on the CoronaCheck.nl website. Did your test result come back positive? You will not be able to attend the event are required to self-isolate.

Step 3: Get your QR-code scanned at the entrance of the event
The CoronaCheck-app or CoronaCheck.nl website will automatically create a Corona admission ticket using a QR-code. This QR-code needs to be scanned at the entrance of the event or activity. If you receive a green screen, you have a valid Corona admission ticket.

Step 4: Enter using your proof of identification and entrance ticket
Do not forget to bring your proof of identification. The person at the entrance will compare information from your proof of identification with the information from the Corona admission ticket. Finally, you will also show your entrance ticket. You are now allowed in.

Visitors from outside the Netherlands will use a European Digital Corona Certificate (DCC)
European countries have agreed that every country has to have their own system for proof of coronavirus. They call it the EU Digital Corona Certificate (EU DCC). In the Netherlands this proof of coronavirus is handled through the CoronaCheck-app and the CoronaCheck.nl website.
Are you visiting the Netherlands and do you want to attend an event? And did you come to the Netherlands using a European Digital Corona Certificate (DCC) from another country? U can use the same QR-code to attend the event. This is usually only applicable if your DCC is based on a proof of vaccination or proof of recovery.

Negative test result valid maximum of 24 hours
Do you have a DCC with a test result? Then the negative test result can not be older than 24 hours from the start of the event. Did your test result expire? Then get tested again, to attend the event. You cannot upload the Dutch test result onto other European apps. Go to CoronaCheck.nl to convert your negative test result into a QR-code to attend the event.
