For Surinamese-Hindustani choreographer and Swan-winner Shailesh Bahoran, Indian philosophy of life and Hindustani culture are important starting points in his work. In MYSTIC, he searches for the universality of the mystical.

How can something trigger the same experience in different cultures, in different times, in different places and in different people? With solid roots in hip-hop culture, Bahoran, in collaboration with ICK Dans Amsterdam, embarks on an adventure with classically/contemporary trained dancers. They search for cross-pollinations in the musical and spiritual aspects of the culture of the Amsterdam Andalusian Orchestra. Six musicians play live during the performance.
