Hunter
Courtney May Robertson
In HUNTER, Courtney and her life-sized doppelganger criticize that which is socially indigestible. Every human being consists of flesh and blood, secretes fluids and rots away after dying. This is our biological fact, and by denying this and making it "invisible," talking about it becomes taboo.
Through a queer feminist lens Courtney focuses on the reprehensible, the monstrous / grotesque and film genres in which the body plays a lavish role: horror, pornography and melodrama.
*not for tender souls*
Note: The age recommendation for this show is 16 years and above. Stroboscopic effects and self-harming acts are portrayed in this performance, which could have a disturbing effect on viewers.
