Glitter
Antonin Rioche | Korzo & Nederlands Dans Theater
The talented Antonin Rioche likes to push the boundaries between art forms such as film, dance and theatre. In a personal way, he knows how to point out the sore spots of our modern life.
His first full-length show Glitter is about love, fame and recognition. It beckons to our childhood when everything seems possible and dreams have not yet faded. A melancholic glimpse into lost moments propels the work. 'The real paradises are the ones we have lost' said Proust. The cast embodies intimate memories of dreams long behind us, with a hint of humour. In Glitter, stardom beckons and puts it in stark contrast to reality. We are taken to that which we all recognise: the illusion of greatness that everyone carries within them.
