Oxygen

Young, Maastricht-based choreographer Jennifer Romen impresses with her company OXYGEN, known for detailed choreography and visual illusions. Their first performance DELUSION enchanted the audience ‘by playing with black light, illusions, masquerades, video walls, film projections, light screens and acrobatic hip-hop dance. Sometimes you think you see one dancer with ten spinning legs, sometimes a dozen half bodies undulating through the air' (Theaterkrant).

DELUSION II - THE NEXT CHAPTER picks up where DELUSION left off. The character we followed on her path from adolescence to adulthood, from insecure to powerful, faces her greatest adversary in part two. Is it an opponent she must win from, or a part of herself she must learn to accept and even embrace? The dualities interact with each other, sometimes in battle, sometimes in love. 

Jennifer uses blacklight, shadow play and projections to show the audience intangible illusions. An exciting interplay between the dancers and the light and the unprecedented tight choreography will blow you away even more this time.
