Body Drift
Mami Kang
Choreographer Mami Kang's performance Body Drift aims to create a state of constant change. Through dream-like fragments, voice, sound and movement, the work envisions dance as something beyond human uniqueness by adding a different kind of liveliness.
The assembled figure in the performance represents a complex spiritual world, resisting the idea of reducing individuals to a single fixed representation. Instead of following a linear progression, the performance explores forgotten, decaying, and unknown physical spaces in a way that is not bound by time or location.
By delving into subconscious desires, Body Drift invites the audience to participate in a mysterious and elusive space where fiction and reality, imagination and physicality come together.
