A now well-known tradition in Maastricht is the Christmas concert given by the men of the Mastreechter Staar on Boxing Day. This will be concert number 28.

Every year the Royal Singing Society Mastreechter Staar closes its Christmas tour with a home match: the Kerstconcert in Theater aan het Vrijthof. After two years of absence due to corona, the 'Staar' returns with a varied Christmas concert, in which many musical directions, composers, languages ​​and tastes come into their own. The Mastreechter Staar will keep the complete program to itself for a while, but in addition to a few traditionals, which cannot and should not be missed, you will also be surprised with less expected works! And that a lot of men can sing very softly, they prove with Silent Night.
