Doré Quartet
De nieuwe lichting
The Doré Quartet, named after the French artist Gustave Doré, is a quartet of young musicians from Italy and Spain. All of them are masters students at the Conservatory Maastricht and they founded the Doré Quartet in 2021. They are currently specialising themselves in chamber music with alto violinist Marc Tooten.
The quartet participated in the Chamber music festival of the Conservatory Maastricht in March of last year, where they followed masterclasses with members of the Oberon Trio. In April they performed at Backstage Klassiek in Parkstad Limburg Theater in Heerlen. In May, the quartet won second place at the 14th International Music Concours Luigi Cerritelli. The Doré Quartet received a scholarship for participation at the Orlando European Summer Course of this year and performed multiple time at the Orlando Festival.
