Shane van Neerden (piano)
Dutch Classical Talent
A near philosophical programme in which Bach's Musikalisches Opfer, Beethoven's last Piano Sonata and a new work by Rick van Veldhuizen enter into dialogue with a novella by French writer and poet Jean Genet.
For pianist Shane van Neerden, they are all sides of the same enchanting coin. The jury states: ‘A romantic and poet through and through! With his mad technique, superb timing and storytelling drive, he holds the audience's attention. He is not scared to take risks!’
