Accordeonduo TOEAC

Two accordion virtuosos having coffee with Bach. Renée Bekkers and Pieternel Berkers of the Dutch duo TOEAC make it happen. TOEAC regularly conjures up inventive accordion arrangements of beloved classical works.

For their recital Ben by Bach, they shed a bright light on two Bach hits: the early, meditative organ work Passacaglia and Fugue and the ever-sparkling Brandenburg Concerto no. 3. Bekkers and Berkers arranged these magnificent works for accordions, sprinkling them with timbres, spirited rhythms and sultry harmonies. Baroque dreams also come to life in the Suite Dreams written especially for TOEAC by Danish-Australian composer Benjamin de Murashkin.
