The Dutch Student Orchestra (NSO) is a young, national project orchestra founded in 1952. It is reconstituted each year from 105 talented students who are engaged in classical music at a high level, in addition to their studies at a college or university.

In February, the selected students suspend their studies to devote a month entirely to music. After an intensive rehearsal period, the orchestra will tour ten major Dutch concert venues and visit some foreign venues.

NSO's concerts are known for their professional quality and bustling atmosphere.
